SM Higgs in Fermion Decay modes (CMS)

Presented by Dr. Yuta TAKAHASHI on 22 Jul 2014 from 17:15 to 17:35
Type: Higgs Phenomenology
Track: Higgs Phenomenology

Content

The discovery of a new boson with a mass of approximately 125 GeV in 2012 at the LHC has opened a new era in understanding the nature of electroweak symmetry breaking. Since the first observation in decays to γγ, WW, and ZZ boson pairs, an extensive set of measurements of the mass, couplings to W and Z bosons and the spin-parity quantum numbers, have revealed that the properties of the new boson are consistent with the standard model (SM) Higgs particle responsible for electroweak symmetry breaking. An important open question is whether the new particle also couples to fermions as expected in the SM. In this talk we present the latest measurements by CMS of Higgs production in fermionic decay channels.
