A discussion of two extremes of the Standard Model where perturbation theory is hard-earned. When perturbativity is lost in QCD, two approaches are commonly taken: resummations and parton showering. Jack will discuss a new formalism which aims to unify the two and increase predictive power. High-energy nonperturbativity is a feature of a broad range of theories, and attempts have been made to use the resulting physics to solve the Higgs hierachy problem. Chris will present a new angle on this approach.
