Welcome to the 2020 SBND-UK hands on workshop AKA the reconstruction/analysis-athon.
The aim of the workshop is for SBND analysers to get together and push forward their current work/studies with the added benefit of in-person collaboration.
There will be no strict agenda for this meeting, the focus is very much on hands-on work.

If you are travelling on the SBND-UK budget then please submit a travel notice prior to booking travel/accommodation.

There is no registration fee.

Travel and Accommodation
Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements.  We recommend booking some accommodation in Lancaster town centre and then commuting by bus.

Travel information (bus)
The LU website has some useful travel information: https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/about-us/maps-and-travel/#by-bus
If you are commuting by bus from Lancaster town centre, I'd recommend getting the bus from Common Garden Street: https://tinyurl.com/wmar45a
There are a number of buses you can get: 1/1A, 100, 4, 4X, 40, 41 and 42 all go via LU campus (just make sure you get on the bus going South).  Check with the driver if you're unsure.
You should get off the bus in the LU underpass (directly connected to Alexandra Square) which is AFTER the LU sports centre stop; if you're not undercover when you get off the bus then you're in the wrong place.

Travel information (car)
Parking is pay and display only onsite and the prices do vary.  The cheapest parking is £3 for the entire day in car park K (the sports field at the very front of campus).  Full parking information, including a map, can be found here: https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/sustainability/travel/parking/visitor-parking/

Lunch
Lunches are on your own and not provided.  There are a lot of places to buy food on campus.  LU maintains an incomplete list of place here: https://www.lancaster.ac.uk/eat/outlets/
but there are quite a few decent places not included under the 'eat' banner.

Group dinner
The group dinner will be at the Toll House Inn at the edge of Lancaster Town Centre on Wednesday the 27th February at 7pm.  When travelling from campus, I'd recommend taking the bus and disembarking at the White Cross Infirmary: https://tinyurl.com/snl2vy4
All buses listed above include this stop on their route.
